Summer Housing

Eligibility

To apply for summer housing, you must be a continuing residential student in good standing with the University and fall into one of the following categories:

  • Be enrolled for Summer Session 2026, or
  • Be enrolled for Autumn Quarter 2026, or
  • Be a graduating senior

If there is more demand than supply for summer housing, priority will be given to students registered for summer classes.

Contract requirement

Summer housing residents are required to contract from June 8, 2026 – September 9, 2026. Residents who move out prior to the end of the summer period remain responsible for the full contract fee.

How to apply

Beginning April 21, you can access the housing portal via the student menu on Banner or go to . From the welcome page, select “Application” in the menu bar to begin.

Application deadlines

If your Summer Housing application is received:

If interested please email housing@spu.edu

  • By May 15, you will receive your assignment on May 26.
  • After May 15, your application will be processed as space permits.

The deadline to submit Summer Housing Accommodation Requests is May 1.

Student account

If you have an outstanding balance on your student account at the end of the school year, you must receive approval from Student Financial Services before you can be assigned to summer housing. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy, so be sure to provide enough time to work through any financial issues prior to the application deadline.

Location and cost

The Wesley Dravus Apartments will be utilized for housing in summer 2026 at the following rates:

  • 2-Person Unit, 1 Room: $3,593
  • 4-Person, 3 Room Unit OR 3 Person, 2 Room Unit, 3 Rooms: $3,224
  • 4-Person Unit, 4 Rooms: $3,817

Check-in and check-out dates

Summer Housing residents are able to move in according to the dates below. Check-in and check-out times will be provided by Residence Life when available. It is possible that SPU may change one or more of these dates and times, and you will be notified of any such change. Please plan accordingly, as staff will be available during these time frames only.

  • Summer Housing Check-In: Monday, June 8
  • Summer Housing Check-Out: Wednesday, September 9
  • Autumn Housing Check-In (Summer Residents): Wednesday, September 9

 

Canceling an application

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received by June 1 will be charged a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations received on or after June 1 will result in a charge for the entire summer contract period.

Dining services available Monday–Friday.

  • C-Store: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Cocina Del Sol: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Common Grounds: 7:45–11 a.m.
  • Subway: 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
  • Falcon’s Landing: closed

Summer hours begin the Monday after Commencement.
