| President’s Symposia Begin This Fall
 DURING THE 2004–2005 academic year, ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ President Philip
 Eaton will host three national symposia designed to highlight aspects of the
 University’s vision for “engaging the culture.” Topics for the symposia include
 racial reconciliation, science, and faith and cultural engagement.
  A visit by
   John Perkins, Christian civil rights leader, launches “The President’s Symposia:
   Engaging the Culture and Changing the World.” Perkins is the keynote speaker
   for SPU’s Day of Common Learning on Octo-ber 20, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. in Brougham
   Pavilion. He will also participate in officially opening the John Perkins Center
   for Racial Reconciliation, Leadership Training and Christian Community Development
   at SPU.  Headlining the President’s Symposium in Winter Quarter is John Medina,
     founder of the Talaris Research Institute. Internationally known New Testament
     scholar N.T. Wright will be Eaton’s guest during Spring Quarter.                                                              Back to the topBack to Campus
