What is something you wish everyone knew about your major? One of my majors is Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE), and I think this is great for any overthinker! Jokes aside, it truly was amazing to get a chance to learn about three different, yet complementary disciplines. These three academic disciplines at SPU truly have the greatest professors I have ever met.
What was your most impactful class or professor? The courses that truly offered me a formative experience were constitutional law with Dr. Caleb Henry, business ethics with Dr. Kenman Wong, and contemporary ethical theory with Dr. Leland Saunders. Though they were challenging courses, I've become more confident in my ability to think critically and deeper.
What are you excited for in your future career? I've grown an immense appreciation for higher education in these last four years, so I'm excited to continue to learn and grow in law school this fall.
What advice do you have for incoming students? Never say "no" to an opportunity because you're afraid! These four years are truly the best times to challenge yourself and explore your strengths and weaknesses. Seize the opportunities you have in front of you — they are there for a reason!
How have you grown during your time at SPU? Being in college and preparing myself to enter unchartered territories, I've learned the importance of relying on God and surrendering my own expectations. My time at SPU has been so fruitful, and I wouldn't have had the same experience without the friends, faculty, and staff members I met.
