What are you excited for in your future career? I’m excited to grow, learn, and build meaningful connections in whatever field I pursue. Staying curious and committed to continuous learning is incredibly important to me — whether that’s through photography or international business strategy.
What advice do you have for incoming students? Try everything. Meet new people. Take walks, explore Seattle, discover a new coffee shop each week, and go to concerts. This city has so much to offer. It can be tempting to stick with what’s familiar, but college is the time to step outside your comfort zone. It’s where you begin to figure out who you are outside of your family and hometown. Seek out what brings you joy — and then find ways to keep doing those things. And if you get the chance to study abroad, take it. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
How have you grown during your time at SPU? College has been a journey of self-discovery. It’s given me the space to explore new ideas and perspectives that I might not have encountered otherwise. SPU has also brought me some of my closest friends, and for that, I’ll always be grateful... I’m thankful for the person I’ve become during my time here — and I’m excited to keep growing beyond SPU.
