Homecoming of the century,
held on campus January 28-30.
Several thousand people
attended a variety of events:
        1) After their annual "Row 'n Run" race
against cross country alumni, current and past SPU crew members gathered
for a mid-morning brunch. 2) SPU's all-time season scoring leader and first team All American
Jeff McBroom slams home two points in a 95-61 victory over Homecoming
        opponent Western New Mexico.

 4) Alumni Board President Harland Beery '54 and his wife, Eunice Peterson
Beery '54, join other Falcon fans at the Homecoming game.
 5) Seniors Jen Bettger and Kaalan Johnson were named SPU's Homecoming
        Queen and King for 1999.
 6) The "Orangemen," a self-proclaimed student booster group, made
themselves seen and heard throughout the afternoon game.
 7) Reunions are designed for all ages, as evidenced at the Class of
        '89 gathering in Falcon Lounge.
 8) At the Homecoming Student Talent Show, the four-member group Wes
Dando won in the band category.
 9) The Thalia Symphony Homecoming concert drew a full house.
 10) Harold Hemry '33 (left), 1981 Alumnus of the Year Ed Blair '31
(middle) and Lyle Northrup '27 were a relaxed group at the Founders reunion.
 11) SPU's 1999 Alumnus of the Year Bob Wallace '69 and his wife, Joan
Russell Wallace '69, are recognized by SPU President Philip Eaton during
        halftime of the game.
