Experience SPU Giving Day — live and in person — April 8
On Wednesday, April 8, the SPU community will come together for — a 24-hour celebration of generosity supporting scholarships, athletics, academic programs, student life, and areas of greatest need across campus.
And this year — for the first time ever — Giving Day will feature live, in-person events at the Student Union Building (SUB), and we would love to welcome parents and alumni to join us.
The day begins in the SUB Fireside Room with a Community Prayer Gathering (10–11 a.m.), followed by an Opening Pep Rally at 11 a.m. featuring faculty, staff, students, and President Porterfield. From 11:30 a.m.–12:45 p.m., enjoy the “Falcon Game: Fundraising Face Offs,” where colleges, centers, athletic teams, and departments compete in friendly fundraising challenges — alongside live entertainment and fellowship.
After lunch, the celebration continues with Pep Rally II, awards for Face Off winners and school spirit, and a high-energy “Giving Blitz” from 2:25–2:55 p.m., when participants will rally friends and family to help unlock additional challenge funds.
Throughout the day, stop by the SUB’s Gazebo Room for the Giving Day Gratitude Wall, photo and video booth, raffles, refreshments, and a Thank-You-A-Thon phone center honoring faithful SPU donors. Live worship and a prayer booth will also take place in Martin Square from 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m.
Whether you can attend in person or participate from afar, is an opportunity to celebrate what God is doing through SPU — and to be part of it.
